Community Project for Oblivion
Hey Guys!
We're a very mixed lot here. We all have mixed skills, ideas, time and wants. But how about we all sat down and tried to create something together? A mod where those that found interior work interesting, did interior work, those that like making NPC's, create the NPC's?
So, let's try it out. I've created a project for Fallout 3 too.
What kind of mod would you like to do? A companion mod? A house mod? It could be anything, but let's try and keep it realistic.
My opinion is we shouldn't aim for a TC, because we'll never finish. But a smaller quest mod maybe?
Today is the first day of the rest of your life - make the most of it.

RE: Community Project for Oblivion
It'd only work if all crap is pushed out none can do. Fact is...none can do proper worldspaces here. So unless you want a world where you can't see half of the area...it'd have to be an interior. Then it's also the fact it'd still require a hell of scripting. Just to keep it interesting and to keep the player from cheating on simply everything.

RE: Community Project for Oblivion
Mod is way too big and there is nobody that wants to download a town.
Sorry.
I suggest we clean the thread and start over. It's been almost a year and this shit is going nowhere.
Edit: Or a silly CTF minigame.
If you've had a dose of a freaky ghost baby. Ya better call GHOSTBUSTERS

Unfortunately this is true. I tried enhancing existing towns but even doing that I ran into too many problems.
I suggest doing... Several (unlawful) quests in the Imperial City. Kinda like "Thieving in the Imperial city".
You steal a vase.
You pickpocket a man.
You open a few locked doors.
You avoid some traps.
You fight some rats.
You kill a whore or her pimp.
You knock a drunkard unconscious (But not dead!)
You replace a few items.
You add a few items to somebody.
You poison somebody.
You empty out a house with annoying punks.
etc etc etc.
Several small projects(quests) combined in a greater project. Adding some extra realism and content to the big bustling city.
If you've had a dose of a freaky ghost baby. Ya better call GHOSTBUSTERS

Srsly, gtfo.
If I wasn't so busy I'd love to do something like this. I think Merc would love this idea as well... It wouldn't even be that hard. If some people want to design this and get a somewhat strict design document for such a mod up in it's own thread I could work on it part by part as I find time for it. I'd like to see more than anyone (except maybe Merc) for some modding to get done here, even if it's me that's doing it.

I'd assume so as he started the thread.
