Slawter's Mod List
Here is a mod list. I am going to be constantly adding to this list. Be warned that I will include very few of the well known mods out there. What's the point in me mentioning a mod you are very likely to know.

Stealth

Assasins Trip Wires

This mod allows you to lay your own trip wires. The trip wires have various magical enchantments to hurt your enemies with. And you may lay the wires in any place you wish. Perfect if you wish to lure your target somewhere, and be able to cleanly finish them. An excellent addition to any stealth orientated character.

Thiefs Tool Belt

This piece of a equipment merely helps your character look the part. It is purely aesthetic. However it certainly does add a nice little touch to your character.

Backstab Animation

This is an excellent mod. If your fed up with your backstabbing animation looking exactly the same as every other attack performed while sneaking, while any self respecting assassin would clearly shove his blade in his enemies back, then you will love this mod. The animation isn't the greatest in the world, but it's better than the "Slap on the ass" that Bethesda made.
(Slap on ass quote taken from mod description)

Thieves Arsenal

An excellent mod. It has many unique, and exciting, new objects, some of which are inspired by the "Thief" series. Such items include, a sword names "Blackjack" for knocking your enemies unconscious. Vine arrows which when fired will create a climbable vine. Or maybe some arrows to extinguish lights. There are more but I will not list them all here.

In addition to these excellent items there are "Odd Jobs" for you to perform. Occasionally loot will be assigned to a randomly chosen location, and you will have to sneak past various enemies to find the goods. Oh, and no killings allowed.

Bigger quests are in the making, but the mod is astounding for a WIP. I urge you to check it out.

Blind Lockpicking

This mod is for hardcore realism hunters. You can no longer see the inside of the lock. You must work your lockpick by sound alone. Some may be put off by the difficulty of this, but this mod is for realism.

Lock Bash Omega

In this mod you will be able to hit locks with any sort of meele weapon. Obviously some weapons will be better at this than others, as a warhammer would realisticely do more damage than a dagger would. You can even use your fists. So if you have need of some other way to get out of a sticky situation, then try this.

Ranokoas Secret City Entrances

This mod is truly brilliant for players who wish to roleplay a character who is leading a life of crime. This way you can at least enter the city, without being immediately caught.

Ranokoas Undercover Overhaul

Ever find it strange that despite wearing the armour of the place you are trying to infiltrate that your enemies still immediately know your identity? Well this mod changes that. If you own the armour that corresponds to the faction you wish to infiltrate then lower ranked members of your opponents force will not realise you for who you are. Useful for good, and bad players alike. Bare in mind though that higher ranking members in your enemies ranks will recognise you.

Lynges Thieves Highway

An excellent mod for thieves in the imperial city. This adds ladders in some of the back alleys of the Imperial City:Market District. Allowing you to prowl the roof tops, and even break into a few shops from hatches on the roofs.

Thievery in the Imperial City

This mod adds a new shop to the Imperial City Market District. The man in charge is happy to buy stolen goods. This mod includes various new quests as well.

More will be added.

Player Homes

Thief/Assasin homes/Abodes

Blackwood Hideout

A good little house for a thief. It is a secluded, run down shack in the middle of a swamp. It is a simple house but well designed, and suited to a thief player.

Assasins Hideout

This is a small hideout for an Assassin. There is no free loot, but is a nice little place for your character to lay low.
---------------------------
Regular Houses

Imperial City Apartment

So, the great imperial city only has a shack to offer? Well now there is this mod. It adds a one room typical imperial city building to the market district.

Bruma Cabin

An absolutely stunning revamp of the Bruma player home. It seeks, and succeeds to mix the Nordic feel of Bruma, and add in a Akaviri influence. It is a truly wonderful piece of work. It even has a greenhouse.

-----------------------------

Castles

Hoarfrost Castle

Without a doubt my favourite house mod. Ever. This castle starts off a barren, empty, falling into disrepair and un-dead infested nightmare. But then the castle begins to grow. You clear out the undead, and then your new butler, who sent you on the quest in the first place, hires contractors to set about rebuilding the castle. First however you must find a source of income for the castle. Then you may begin finding staff for your castle, before another plot twist takes place.

A truly epic mod, I recommend to all.

Glenvar Castle

An excellent mod. This new castle has a fun, yet equally difficult quest to obtain it. It looks visually pleasing, and has some nice features. It's a decent size to. Although I perhaps enjoy the quests more than I do the castle, this is a mod well worth checking out.

Castle Ravenpride

This mod is perhaps more suited to the category of a quest mod.

The quest to receive this mod is an excellent, and detailed one. Just visit Bruma, and then you will be sent off for some preliminary preparations before heading for the castle. Where many excellent adventures await. You will be confronted by betrayal, and many other various things. The quest is an absolute pleasure to play through.

The reward, the castle, just let's the mod down a little for me. The castle is big sure, but it just doesn't really strike me as that great. Of course it's all down to personal preference.

Blackclaw

Blackclaw castle is a pretty good castle mod, perfectly suited to all you evil people out there. There is a short, yet fairly enjoyable quest before hand. Not a large scale mod, but pretty good none the less.

Bloodgrave Castle

An excellent castle mod from scrollworks member, Spirhaunt. Fairly large, and excellent quality.

[b]A Blades House

A house carved into the mountain side at cloud ruler temple. A simple, japanese style orientated house. I'm not so enthusiastic about it's location, but it's a nice small house none the less.

------------------------------------
Misc

Fort Death

An excellent mod. Hosted right here on scrollworks to. The fort is kitted out with some features that would be expected in a house mod. Such as an Alchemy lab, bedroom, sitting room etc.

However the fort houses darker secrets. Many of which I can not, and shall not reveal. I know of some other things the fort hides, as I am a tester. However please read this for more information.

Mountain Tower

An excellent mountain top tower. There are many, many, new features. Some not even listed in the mods description. An astounding amount of work went into this, and it should not be missed. For one thing 90% of the tower is custom textured. Now that is pretty impressive.

Halcyon Island

This island retreat isn't particularly to my tastes, a little to luxurious. But it's still a great piece of work, and many others could enjoy it. For one thing it's the first toilet ever in oblivion. Flushable to.

Imperial City Island Estate

A truly beautiful piece of work. A bright, nobles home. Looks stunning, with marvellous attention to detail. The exterior is delicious, and then inside simply awesome.

Aranmathi Ayleid Home

You probably know of this already. This adds a beautiflly crafted Ayleid "ruin" home. It's got some very nice features, and is simple to obtain. Looks stunning. Enjoy.

Reapers Anequina Manor

A stunning house mod for the Elsweyr: Deserts of Anequina mod. Looks beautiful, and has a small quest to obtain it.

Auriels Retreat

A very good retreat.

---------------------------
Quest Mods.

The Dungeons of Ivellon

A truly epic quest mod. You must first find your way to Ivellon, which is no easy task. Then you must find your way around the place, which is once again no easy task. There are plenty of new items to be had, including armour and weapons. There are some side quests, seamlessly integrated into the mod. The theme of the mod is somewhat medieval, and it looks visually stunning. This mod is definitely worth a try.

Malevolent

This quest mod is 100% unique. You don an armour which has it's own consciousness. It sets up camp in the players mind and gives the player many karma driven choices, directly influencing the characters good or evil characteristics.

Windfall

Windfall is an absolutely brilliant mod. It is a new island, a totally new worldspace. The place just seems alive, and the player can take place in the troubles of the island, and it's urban populace by choosing a side in a three way wheel of trouble. The mod has alot of great quests, and is worth trying.

Lost Spires

Ok. I know this is a big mod, and as such should not be in the list, but I had to.

The Lost Spires is an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G quest mod. What starts out as light protection, and dungeon clearing work turns into a full scale adventure of new worlds, planes, and other literally fantastic locations. There are staggering amounts of new models and textures, and none lack detail. Some of these are small miscellaneous items, which serve no other purpose than to add to the feel of the mod. Their is a staggering amount of work put into this mod, and there are plenty of unique opportunity. You will become really engaged in this mod, and it's excellent story which develops later on. Stupendously good.

Daggerfall-Liberation of the Cybiades

This mod is brilliant. It takes you to a excellently designed island with a compelling story, with many new and fantastic characters, each with their own story. The amount of work put into this mod is staggering.

The Naked Nord

No. This is not a stupid nudist mod. I refuse to touch that crap. This is just a quest mod. All oblivion underwear is kept during this.

A Nord who is stripped down to his under garments, resides in Leywaiins prison. He asks you to retrieve a posession of his which leads to a far longer quest. This is long enough to keep you occupied for a while, but not a full on large scale quest.

Et in Arkay Ego

Note: This is listed as adult content. I have no idea why. I haven't played this. [/i]

One single fact sticks out from what I have read about this mod. Not a single bit of combat. Looks interesting.

Vampire Clan:Raeluu

This quest mod is a part of Modular Oblivion Enhanced. A large package of mods. It is an excellent addition to experience and adds what is effectivley a vampire guild. The vampires that are part of this clan are quite easy to find, and all have varying ways of talking to the player.

Serving Your Friends

A short, but enjoyable quest mod. Talk to a guard captain, who will set you on the trail of a cannibal. It's a short but fun quest, and offers some nice cannibal styled loot at the end of it.

------------------------------

Immersion

Crowded Cities

This mod adds various NPC's to every city. Adventurers, travellers etc. This adds to the realism of the game. In some cases it will add muggers, or pickpockets who will attack both the player and other NPC's. Oh, and also vampires at night.

Crowded Roads

This mod adds travellers on the roads between cities. There are travellers, and merchants etc. Adds to the immersion of the game.

Children NPC's

What do you think this does? Doesn't really need explaining. This adds child NPC's to Cyrodiil.

Clocks of Cyrodiil

This adds clocks throughout Cyrodiil. They show the accurate ingame time, even if you use the console to change your time speed. The textures are fairly impressive.

Illumination Within

Ever wondered why no one ever turns their lights on at night? Well with this mod during night time, windows will be illuminated with glows, as if from candle light. A nice little addition to the immersion

Better Beggars

An excellent mod which adds to the beggars of the game. You can offer them food, watch them juggle, or perform mimes for you. There's even a homeless hostel, and if you wish then you can join the beggars, and beg from NPC's.

Enhanced Key Functonality

If you have the key to a door, then with Argomirr's mod you will be able to lock that door if you wish to do so. Adds to immersion. And helpful for avoiding pesky guards Wink.

Disease Immunity

Are you tired of getting infected with that same disease a billion times? Well, today's your lucky day! With Disease Immunity you will become immune to particular diseases after being infected with them several times.

------------------------------

Armour/Clothing & Weapons

Bluefire Claymore

A powerful claymore, engulfed in blue flame. You have to pull the sword from a stone to receive it. It isn't overpowered though, you must be level 20 to get it.

Lost Paladins of the Nine Divnes

Wow. Just wow. If you are playing a paladin character then you are one lucky guy. Because this armour is beautiful. It is reflective, and is amazingly well textured. Just look at the screen shots and such. A true masterpiece.

Adonayys Ranger Coats

These coats are excellent. They are good if your going for a worn and weary traveller look. They also come in armoured version, where a breastplate of the armour related to the coat is underneath the coat. I shall add this to the list out later.

Armoured Arms

Uh. Just take a look Tongue Works for a sort of Spartan look.

Knight of Order Armour

This allows the player to suit up in the knight of order armour.

Armamentium

Re-textures oblivions vanilla armours and weapons. They still very much fit the theme of the game, I'd say even better than the original. An epic mod, which is well worth the download.

Ancient Elven Set

Re-textures of the vanilla elven armours, to give them an ancient feel. It works very well, and looks better than the originals in my opinion.

Ayleidoon Karan

This is a set of armour, it's suited for all you Ayleid lovers out there. In my opinion it matches the colours, and atmosphere, of the ayleid ruins very well.

Black Dragon Ninjato

This adds an extremely well detailed kantana. It's reasonably simple, but with some nice touches to it. Ninja styled, but workable for other types of characters.

Black Elven

Black elven is a simple re-texture of the elven weapons and armour to, well you guessed it, orange! In all seriousness it is a simple, yet effective, black re-texture of the original elven armour/weapons. Perfect for evils.

Daedric Lord Armour

An excellent armour which is an edited Daedric armour set, to make it look more like a warlords sort of armour. Very good, and does not overwrite the original Daedric armour.

Defiled Crusader Armour

This is another simple evil re-texture for an evil version of the divine crusader. Take a look, it's pretty effective, and would suit a Daedric worshipper paladin. Or just evil people in general.

Dopplers Armory

Dopplers Armoury is some absolutely class work. Nothing over the top, but some very nice armours. The textures are well detailed, and it's got something suited for almost everyone.

Dragonbone Armour

An re-textured Daedric armour, to have the look of bone. It's very effective, and the name fits the piece very well. Some very good work.

Knightly Armory

An new shop with some excellent armours. Perfect for someone roleplaying a pladin or a knight.

Knight of Skeleton Armour

An excellent piece of work. Very detailed, and very close to the modders original inspiration. It's a stunning piece of work, and perfect for an evil character. Particularly a necromancer, but suited to all you evil players.

Brocades

Adds various recolours of the Green Brocade, giving players who are role playing as a noble some excellent clothes to wear.

Comfortable Clothing

This mod is great for some casual wear clothing. Middle class orientated, but well suited for all characters. An excellent everyday piece of clothing.

Black Mages Robe

Re-textures the black mages robe. For those evil wizards out there this is perfect for you. Simple, yet effective.

Elegant Vests

Elegant vests is an upper class clothing mod. They are simply excellent, and would fit the sort of country mansion type player. There are some nice varied styles to the vests, and they work well for both males and females.

Grey Robe

An excellent new robe, suited to all classes. Fine and elegant looking, but looks like it would be perfect for almost any player.

Extra Robes

A reasonably sized collections of robes. They are incredibly well textured and detailed. Perhaps not so good for everyday use, but certainly good for special occasions. And they look stunning all the same.

Hemingwey Capes

Adds many new, and themed, capes to the province of cyrodiil. Worn by both NPC's, and available to the player, these capes range from ceremonial, to practical, to everyday. These capes add both immersion, and a snazzy look to the player.

Jaysus Capes

In my opinion these capes are a better quality. However they seem more NPC orientated, but are still absolutely class. They can be worn by the player, but I would only advise doing so if roleplaying as a guard. There isn't much variety, but it's astonishing work.

Robes of Seraphim

Ever want to be a Holy Avenger? Or maybe a Messenger delivering the wrath of the Gods? Now you can.

Travellers Cloaks

A more everyday sort of cloak. No fancy emblems, or symbols, just a simple travellers cloak. Enjoy.

Tyrael Armour/Clothing

An interesting piece of work. Suitable for both everyday, and a majestic and glorious battle. Perfect for an almighty mage.

Vahis Wardrobe

An excellent selection of lower class clothing. Best suited to players living in Bruma.

Angellorn

A new sword.

Andragorn

A one handed war sword.

Creature Armours/Lookalikes

Frost Atronach Armour

This allows the player to wear armour, that changes them to look like a frost atronach. It's some nice work, and could be used for roleplay if born under the sign of the atronach.

--------------------------------------
Visual/Graphics

Elven Maps

Replaces the old Parchment style map, for a more colourful version. It changes colour according to which part of Cyrodiil you are viewing. This isn't for everyone, as I personally prefer the original, but that is just because I feel that the original one fits oblivion better.

Real Lava

Changes Lava to look more realistic. Not the greatest improvement in the world, unless you spend a lot of time in the planes of oblivion. But still a nice touch so the lava no longer looks like orangeade.

Natural Enviroments

I wasn't sure whether to put this under immersion, or graphic, but hey this is where it is.
Changes oblivion so all of it's wonderfully crafted nature looks far better. Also adds little things such as natural weather and such. This just enhances your overall view of oblivion.

Qarls Texture pack III

This enhances the graphics of most things in oblivion, some absolutely stunning textures and will very much add to your experience of oblivion.
--------------------------------------
New towns/cities/Villages

Damarask

This mod contains a complete Dremora city in the Oblivion planes, complete with an extensive questline.
This city houses some very unique features. Experience a Daedric Arena, don't like the chapels in the original oblivion? How about a shrine to Dagon. There are some very unique features to this mod.

Bartholm

Bartholm is a new city, across the river from Bravil. It has some great quests, some of which are repeatable for money. There is a plot to destroy the count and his family, and can the player unlock it's secrets. Plenty of voice acting, and some real personality to the people.
---------------------------------------
Guilds/Factions

Dark Brotherhood Continued

Fed up that you just become the messenger boy after completing the Dark Brotherhood? This mod aims to resolve that problem. Once the Dark Brotherhood questline is completed random hits, in a variety of special ways are handed out to the player from Arquen.

Dark Brotherhood Enhanced

Hosted right here at Scrollwork Studios. I haven't seen much of the mod yet, but that press release on Scrollworks portal page is enough to excite even those who never really engaged with the Dark Brotherhood questline(Yeah, right. Best questline ever). It's got some terrific goals, and I fully heartedly believe that those goals will be accomplished.

Misc

Dalls-City Overhauls

These city overhauls attempt to revamp the cities and give them more of an atmosphere, personally I think the Bruma one is the best.

Modular Oblivion Enhanced

This mod has around 60 mini mods, and you may choose which ones you wish to choose. There is a plugin where you may become a Lich, or a werewolf. There are many plugins, some for realism, some quests, some armours, some guilds, some totally new things (Like becoming a lich or werewolf). Just in general an excellent compilation of mods.

Rens Beauty Pack

This adds many more character creation options. Around 20 new hair styles, and some new eyes also. Perfect if you don't want your character to look like an absolute nob.

Sephs Dual Wield

This mod adds animations for dual wield. If you use real shields, don't use this mod. Still it looks a bit flashy, and as such I am not a particularly big fan.

Shield on Back

Quite simply, if your weapon is not drawn, but you have a shield equipped then it will be shown on your back.

More Immersive waiting

Instead of the boring wait menu, a stool appears at your location and you sit down. Time moves at an accelerated wait, and you see everything happening around you, switching between day and night, actors moving faster and so on.

Backpack

Find it strange you can carry the weight of the world on your shoulders, and have nothing to carry it in. Well here is one of the few backpack mods out there.

Portable Campsite

Allows you to carry a rolled up bedroll, and tent with you, for a portable campsite.

JM's bar fight

Allows the player to start bar room brawls without it being assault. Special NPC's are created for this purpose.

Elsweyr:Deserts of Arquinia

This makes Elsweyr playable. There are simply way to many features to list here. I think it lacks quests at the moment however. It is awesome. No question.

Akatosh Mount

This allows you to mount a dragon and ride it to safety. Depending on which dragon you choose they each have different attacks. They can be commanded and summoned in a variety of ways.

Adonayys Elven Weaponry

Some stunning looking elven weapons. Very good, but not to drastically changed.

Brew House

Sick and tired of having to battle for your money? Annoyed you have to keep dungeon crawling for a few measly septims? Find these sentences that sound like crappy adverts annoying? Then try Brew House. In this mod you can own your own farm, by a lake and fish from it, plant crops, and for another thing all those useless rakes and hoes you find lying around, are no longer useless.

Crafty Bit

Allows you to craft many different things. Become a real blacksmith, or make clothes to sell for profit. The crafting happens in front of you, so very little is done through the inventory.

Arcane Infusion

After casting a spell upon your staff, your staff will now recognise your active spell, and will then fire that spell. The staff still has charges however so this is not over powered.

Raiment Ring

In this mod you will be able to enter the Imperial City arena without looking like an absolute nob. Just pop on this ring and then you will be able to enter without the raiment.

Telekinetic Mastery

This mod makes telekenis actually useful, but without messing with the original spell. It's not overpowered, but now you actually have good reason to use mysticism. Plus it's just so fun.

Multiple Summons

Allows you to summon up to ten creatures at once, rather than only one. This could be considered overpowered, but obviously you'd first need to get all of that magicka up to get that many. But useful none the less to give you an edge when outnumbered. Excellent, and more fitting than the original system if you ask me.

Alternative Start - Arrive by ship

Ever wanted it so that you don't start your game in a dank prison cell? Did it hurt your roleplay? Well then try this alternative start for roleplayers. The player starts on a ship, and is told to fill out immigration forms, where you will select your birthsign, class etc and your characters previous job.

Skeletal Variations

A revolutionary modders resource. This allows for many new ways to play around with oblivion characters. This opens up requests which were previously disregarded.

Spell Delete

No hotkey system. Simply allows you to delete spells from your spell book with the press of a button.

Expanded Hotkeys and Spell Delete

Unlike the above, this allows you to have extra hotkey spots, and a spell deletion system.

RE: Slawter's Mod List
Elrodian - I haven't played it yet. I think I have a couple of mods conflicting with it as it has a CTD on startup of oblivion.

Update 6/02/10 - Added Aran Mathi Ayleid Home to the list.
